Golden yellow. Candied pineapple, apricot and yellow peach in the nose. On the palate dense complexity, spicy minerals with ripe fruits and a hint of tangerine zest. Elegant finish, fruity with lively acidity. An amazing Riesling with excellent ageing potential.

Vineyard Site

Southfacing classified single vineyard (Erste Lage) with steep terraces. The foundation of the Pfaffenberg is steep cliff that towers over the banks of the river Danube. The terraces are dominated of hard weathered stone soil, composed primarily of gneiss and granite. The vines in this vineyard are more than 50 years old.

Vinification

Harvest end of October, maceration with skins 12 h; sedimentation 48 h; fermentation 10 weeks in stainless steel; bottling in July 2024.
